AI-Assisted Guide
How to read your astro chart
A natal chart is a snapshot of the sky at the moment you were born. This guide walks you through the four building blocks — planets, signs, houses, and aspects — the same way AS33's AI astrologer reads them.
1. The four building blocks
Every interpretation answers the same sentence: a planet (what energy) in a sign (how it expresses) in a house (where it plays out), shaped by aspects to other planets.
2. Planets — the actors
- SunCore identity, vitality, life purpose.
- MoonEmotions, instincts, inner world, needs.
- MercuryMind, communication, learning style.
- VenusLove, values, aesthetics, attraction.
- MarsDrive, desire, action, how you fight.
- JupiterGrowth, luck, belief, expansion.
- SaturnStructure, discipline, long-term lessons.
- UranusInnovation, rebellion, sudden change.
- NeptuneDreams, spirituality, illusion.
- PlutoTransformation, power, deep rebirth.
3. Houses — the stage
The wheel is sliced into 12 houses, each ruling a life area. Planets sitting in a house colour that part of your life.
- 1st — Self. Identity, appearance, first impressions.
- 2nd — Values. Money, possessions, self-worth.
- 3rd — Mind. Communication, siblings, short trips.
- 4th — Home. Family, roots, private life.
- 5th — Joy. Creativity, romance, play, children.
- 6th — Work. Routine, health, service, craft.
- 7th — Others. Partnerships, marriage, open enemies.
- 8th — Depth. Intimacy, shared resources, transformation.
- 9th — Vision. Travel, philosophy, higher learning.
- 10th — Career. Public role, reputation, ambition.
- 11th — Community. Friends, groups, hopes for the future.
- 12th — Unseen. Solitude, dreams, the subconscious.
4. Aspects — the conversation
Lines across the wheel are aspects — geometric angles between planets that describe how those energies talk to each other.
- Conjunction (0°)Fusion — two energies act as one.
- Sextile (60°)Opportunity — easy, supportive flow.
- Square (90°)Tension — friction that fuels growth.
- Trine (120°)Harmony — natural talent, gentle flow.
- Opposition (180°)Polarity — balance through the other.

5. Where to start reading
- Find your Sun, Moon, and Rising — the "big three" that anchor your identity.
- Note any stellium (3+ planets in one sign or house) — that's a life theme.
- Locate your chart ruler (the planet ruling your Rising sign) and read its sign, house, and aspects.
- Scan the tight aspects (within 3°) — they hum loudest.
- Finish with the outer planets (Saturn onward) — the long slow lessons.
